Last week we were invited to attend a beautiful event in the Portugese Embassy in London. As part of the Craft Week taking place in the city, Vista Alegre took this chance to exhibit their newly launched collection of porcelain, crystal, cutlery and glass.
The table was set with the beautiful porcelain table wear from the AMAZŌNIA collection. This collection features over 70 pieces of porcelain, earthenware, stoneware, glass and crystal pieces and is inspired by the book "Viagens Philosophicas" (philosophical voyages) by the naturalist Alexandre Rodrigues Ferreira. The collection was developed in partnership with Ecoarts Amazōnia and gathers all of the group’s brands for the first time; Vista Alegre, Casa Alegre and Bordallo Pinheiro. The most special thing about this collection is that part of the profits will be used for the reforestation of the Amazon's Mato Grosso .
A lot of different pieces were out on show, displaying the diversity of the products that Vista Alegre had to offer.
Tea for two, a pot with 2 cups that stack up in to create this beautiful silhouette, from the Pharos collection which was inspired by the Portugese coastal landscape.
One piece that stood out was Once Upon a Time which is a partnership between Vista Alegre and Boca do Lobo.
This award winning cabinet was produced in a very limited edition (only 8 pieces) and is made of one-thousand-and-ninety small triangles of hand painted porcelain. The interior part of the cabinet has a prestigious crystal bar also manufactured by Vista Alegre. The pieces are fully blown, cut, engraved and painted by hand. The cabinet’s decoration, signed by VA Studio, features a peony garden and two Chinese Phoenix. These motifs were inspired by the Talhas Portugal, exhibited at the Vista Alegre Museum in Ílhavo.
The brand is well known for it's high quality, collaboration with numerous world-known designers and production of glassware, tableware, cutlery and home decor such as lamps and luxurious crystal bars.
To top up this beautiful showcase the event was wrapped up with speeches and a live orchestra playing during the evening.
The event was beautiful and we are very happy to be able to collaborate with Vista Alegre and their beautiful designs.
